Blackfordby FC U13 fortunes’ have rapidly risen in the youth football ranks since it started just six months ago.

Set up in June 2016 and managed by Advance’s Production Manager Mark Stevens, the team was created to encourage local junior residents (including Mark’s son!) to get active and involved in the ‘beautiful game’.

Newcomers to the Burton Junior Football League Division Two, the team has been pitted against some very established teams. After 11 games so far this season, Blackfordby U13 FC, now sit fifth in the table with 15 points – pretty remarkable for a team only formed six months ago. Having scored some impressive wins including 6-2 and most recently an 8-1 win, the team is going from strength to strength.

In need of a kit sponsor, Advance was more than happy to support and provide branded jackets for the team.

Mark Stevens said: ‘The lad’s give 110% every week and always surpass my expectations. Advance providing kit has really boosted the morale of the team – we are very grateful for the support. Fingers crossed for a strong end to the season.’
