Advance was commissioned by Trios to develop a bespoke lighting scheme for Boots’ most prestigious Opticians in the heart of London’s West End.
The challenge of integrating the latest LED technology into a listed historic site, meant that developing an ethically impressive design was of critical importance.
Key facts
- 1,300% more efficient store lighting scheme (1,050W v 14,000W)
- Integration of display lighting with store lighting
Brief
Working with Boots’ architects and designers to create a complete LED lit store that enhanced the historical features of the building.
In addition, the store lighting needed to work in synergy with the display lighting to create the clean, modern look that Boots were looking for.
Development
As the UK distributor for Lighting Technologies, Advance began by reviewing standard store lighting products available before creating an enhanced bespoke product that met the design criteria.
Following the in-store trial and testing, the store lighting was signed off.
Advance then reviewed the display lighting and created an updated lighting specification and solution for the Inspire display furniture range produced by Kiddie of Southport.
Delivery
All lighting design, development, testing and engineering was completed by Advance’s in-house team and manufactured in collaboration with our global partners.
Once the parts were received, quality checked and tested they were installed by Trios and Kiddie’s installation teams.
Advance was also on hand to support onsite installation and help ensure the project was completed on time.
Summary
Ensuring a synergy of quality, colour, CRI and light efficiency for both the store lighting and display lighting.
