Advance International has appointed Simon Morrison as managing director with immediate effect promoting him from his previous position as General Manager.

Simon Deacon, Advance’s managing director for almost 20 years’ has stepped down at Advance moving into a new role as Chairman.

Commenting on the appointment Simon Deacon said: ‘Simon has proven his capability during his time at the company so now is the right time for him to take the reins. Simon is very experienced and I am sure he will be instrumental in ensuring we continue to lead in the LED lighting market.’

Speaking about his new role Simon Morrison said: ‘Simon and I have a shared vision of where we want to take Advance. This year will see Advance continue in our existing LED lighting sectors of Point of Sale, retail, refrigeration and strengthen our position within the commercial lighting market.

Simon Morrison added: ‘2018 promises to be a very exciting year for Advance – we have a number of projects in the development pipeline including LED grow lights for the horticultural market and we are also developing digital technology. I would like to thank Advance employee’s for their continued support.’
